About Me

Growing up splitting time between San Francisco and Wyoming, I am a modern play director currently working towards my BFA in Directing in the John Wells Directing Program at Carnegie Mellon University. Attending all girls schools (including a catholic one) up until college, my obsession with exploring the unhinged horrors of being a young girl blossomed, along with my love of queer stories that break preconceptions about gender and how it manifests . A cowboy to my core, I got into theater at a young age at the urging of my teachers when I was diagnosed with Dyslexia, as they thought it would be a good outlet. Little did they know I can do nothing half way and am now a dedicated theater maker.

I am deeply fascinated by modern plays that use the heightened reality available to the theatrical medium to explore emotions and inner thoughts that might feel too dirty, monstrous, or corrupt to talk about in our day to day lives. This has currently manifested in a fascination with exploring the inner emotional lives of young teenage women and what it means to be socialized as a girl. I love to explore how the expectations placed on females grow into internal turmoil and doing shows that express that horrifically beautiful inner life is what I am deeply passionate about. I am also a director who is an ardent believer in stories that explore and uplift experiences of people who fall anywhere on the gender spectrum and love working on shows that break gender expectations in exciting and hopeful ways. I love working on new works and with new playwrights, I believe that theater should always be speaking directly to current audiences and have found that young playwrights often are more connected to the people I want to see in the theater seats.

When I am not working in theater I love knitting.

Education/Experience

2021-2025

BFA in Directing

John Wells Undergraduate Directing Program

Carnegie Mellon University

Working under professors Will Davis, Kim Weild, Justin Lucero, Andy Wolk and so many more I am currently in my final year of my Undergraduate Degree in Directing from CMU. I spent the past three years in Dramaturgy, Acting, and of course Directing classes and am now working on my final project of my degree, my thesis, Mary-Kate Olsen is in Love by Mallory Avidon. Allowing me both the space and structure to finesse my taste, artistry and collaboration skills CMU has been my artistic home.

2024

Literary Intern

Vineyard Theater

As a Vineyard Literary Intern I spent the majority of my time reading new plays submitted to the theater for consideration for productions readings ect. and attending reading of new plays to see if they could be a fit for Vineyard and its mission. Learning about the more practical side of the industry while also expanding my knowledge of new playwrights and work, I gained a world of knowledge from my position at this Off Broadway company.

2014-2021

Assistant Stage Manager/Production Assistant
Off Square Theater Company

Starting at age 13, my work at Off Square Theater company in Jackson Hole Wyoming stretched from the management to the artistic, working closely with both sides of the company as an assistant. Beyond my work on their mainstage productions as an Assistant Stage Manager I also taught summer camps and worked on their children's show. This is the Company where my love for working in theater grew and I knew I wanted to do this for the rest of my life as I watched how our work impacted and reached my community.
